worth noting...MAC WAREHOUSE SALE

DEC. 06, 09

HI everyone! It's been awhile since i had such a BARGAIN'S HIGH. Today, my sister and i went to the MAC warehouse sale. WE WERE FORTUNATE enough to get FREE tickets to this INVITATION ONLY event. (not to rub it in, ahaha, actually nevermind that comment: but we were able to get access to this event for all 3 days we just couldn't co-ordinate our time because we had work, so we opted out for SUNDAY-last day of the sale:(. )

I already knew what i needed so i wasn't too skeptical on being a headless chicked walking aimlessly through the warehouse buildings (those youtuber vloggers were really helpful and insightgful). This was actually my first MAC warehouse sale, i forgot to mention. I already had a limit going into this sale only because i'm leaving soon to go to KOREA/PHILIPPINES and i didn't want to over excite myself (MIND YOU: it was really hard, everything was REDONNNKULOOOUSLY INEXPENSIVE). Sooo, let get to it...

  • this sale happened in TORONTO, MARKHAM AREA (you need access to a car)
  • INVITE only (employees of any of the companies, estee lauder, etc. ONLY ARE GIVEN 2 TICKETS each for each day)
  • happens 4 times a year
  • only allowed to spend $600 before tax
  • can only pick 4 of the same items (eyeshawdows, blushes, etc...so if you have a favourite of a particular colour, you can only have 4)
  • accept all methods of payment (debit, credit, cash, minus the personal checks)
  • it's set up in 3 buildings that link together, each group are according to (nails & cream, eyes, and then face)
  • when you're finished purchasing your items, there's this BREAST CANCER foundation table where they have MAC GOODIES (there's no way of knowing what you get for your money til' you're done shopping. ***for $5 (no tax & CASH ONLY)...I CAN'T EMPHASIZE this enough, this is where you get your MONEY'S WORTH! sometimes, in these MAC GOODIES they included (BLUSH, MSF BRONZER, LIPGLASS, AND eyeshadow. that is what my sister and i got). I KNOW in previous years, they got like those make-up wipes and lipglasses, so we lucked out this weekened cuz that's what most of the goodies included except in different colours for different days.
  • there's a $3 bin that contains travel size make-up removers, empty make up containers, eyelashes, etc.
  • when you hand in your ticket, you get a free gift of some sort. SO don't lose it!
  • EVEN if it was the last day that my sister and i went, we left the house 2 hours before the opening, going there early is CRUCIAL!!! if you want a really good deal on the $5 care packages. LINE UP IN THE COLD IF YOU HAVE TO!! cuz we found out later that they ran out of the ones they were giving out and ended up selling the fix+ spray!
  • hopefully, this is thoroughly enough for the next time any of you people go to these mac events.

So, I know my haul isn't ALOT but it's the items that i WILL USE and when the next sale comes, i know which items i can start collecting (eye pigments, i wish i got at least 1). I don't put a lot on my face and i'm slowing starting a make-up collection. BUT, i'm a big lover on MSF BLUSHES AND BRONZERS! LOVE anything that gives my cheeks an extra BOOST!!!

what msf i got:

  • PETITCOAT
  • PROCEALIN PINK (THE WAS INCLUDED in the $5 package)
  • NUNACE
  • WARMED
  • BLONDIE
  • MOON RIVER
  • EVERSUN "WARRIOR" collection (this too, was included in the $5 package)
  • DUO MINERALIZING EYESHADOW
each msf normally retail for 32.50 (canadian prices), these were for 12$ a piece:D SAVED SO MUCH!
*I WOULD HAVE got most of the SKIN FINISHES AND MINERALIZING BLUSHES but majority of them were sold out.

$3 bin

  • 3 travel sizes fix plus
  • 2 ESTEE LAUDER make up remover
  • 1 mac eye pencil sharpener
and then those $5 breast cancer packages that were such a STEAL!!!!

in total i spent: $100 (the limit i set myself)

**when you go to these warehouse sales, esp. on MAC/ESTEE LAUDER. DO SOME RESEARCH. I hope this was useful and handy for you readers!!! It's not a well rounded range of make-up but like i said, i had a limit to go by and i only had eyes on MSFs and the fact that it was THE LAST DAY (i'm quite pleased with myself).
NEXT TIME i do go, i'll make-sure to really take the time to look around and go on OPENING DAY!

til' next time!
